I use test coupons all the time, from setting up a new torch, changing a gas bottle or testing out a funky angle.
The thing I found with either using scrap, coupons or flat plate, is that it didn’t really represent the actual weld I was trying to achieve.
So, I decided to design my own practice kit!
Includes 7 x pieces of 100mm x 100mm x 2mm aluminium with features to make a cool metal dice!
I have designed these kits to have 100mm edges to make timing weld lengths easy (if that’s your kind of thing) and the holes reflect the design of my parts to better dial in the weld settings.
Seeing that there are a ton of people out there wanting to get some experience in thin aluminium I thought, why not offer my practice kits to you.
